To a photographer (me, at least) a two year old is a pretty tough subject. … but TWO two year olds is a different story. These adorable little girls were so much fun and made is easy easy easy to capture their little personalities on camera. Some of these photos are my favorites ever, with perfect light, adorable faces and long lovely eyelashes. Throw a colorful lollipop in the mix and this is what you get. So happy that February’s trip back to The Woodlands started like this. More to come on this weekends photo shoots- lots of favorites from this weekend! So pleased.

So- I’m no photographer newbie, but I’m coming up on my 1 year as a “professional” and could not be more excited. As wedding season approaches, I’m just chompin’ at the bit (did I say chompin’?) to get some amazing photos for the happy couples.. and for ME! While my family portfolio has quickly grown, I’m not quite there for weddings. I’m really excited for the next few months. It’s so rewarding, especially when you know that you captured something special, that the bride and groom can keep for forever to re-live the moments. ALright alright- enough with the cheese. These pictures are some of my favorites!! Especially considering the circumstances: 1. They were taken at high noon. I hate high noon, and all the racoon eyed faces, and short shadows that accompany it. 2. this was a MINI! This couple already had a photographer, but chose to forfeit the money when they saw the outcome of their engagements (not me, not me… anoooother photographer), so I told them I’d snap a few shots after our initial meeting. I’m so glad I did, because they are some of my favorites EVER! 3. They drove from fort worth this morning… I don’t know about you, but I do NOT look like this after 3 hours of driving. So, enough gab- HOORAY for Austin wedding photography!! I’m so glad to be in this amazing city with a rockin’ job !!!
all dogs go to cupcake heaven
Yesterday I met with Melissa and Ross, who won a photo session at this year’s Young Women’s Alliance (YWA) fashion show. They brought their two dogs ( who were MOST pleased about this whole gig) and their laid back selves to enjoy some of the first few days of sunshine Austin has had in a while. Maybe I’m partial to the pooches, but I really love these pictures. Can’t wait to get my hands on the rest- but here’s the first few that caught my eye…

Today I took some photos of Becky and Warren as a little “engagement” session for their wedding early February. It was SUCH a joy to work with these encouraging and caring people who genuinely cherish each other. It was so evident. These are the days that I find myself thinking … oh how I LOVE my job. :) Warren is an artist too! He’s an illustrator for WONDERFUL positive books. See his talent at www.warrenhanson.com. As always… here’s my favorites. …and as always- I can’t ever decide.
Christine and Dale are Engaged!
These guys make my job easy breeezy… and the pictures prove it. Christine and Dale braved the cold – in short sleeves even!- and laughed and smiled until their cheeks hurt. I can’t wait for their wedding at The Woodlands United Methodist Church in The Woodlands this June. Can’t wait you guys! Hope you love this sneak peek!!

The Boykin Family-Sneak Peek
The Swank Family- Sneak Peek!
It was a beautiful day in Austin, for this family mini-session. This sweet baby was all eyes and super sweet, and dressed up for the occasion- with some of my favorite pictures to show for it. Thanks guys for this lovely afternoon and for welcoming me to your home. I hope you like these few! Can’t wait to show you the rest!
